Despite a long history and a repertoire containing among the most beautiful pieces of music ever written (1), the classical guitar tends to be seen as boring, dull, and rigid by many people today. The guitar world is championed by steel-string acoustic and electric guitars. And virtually all of the most famous 'innovators' or 'Guitar Gods' are associated with one of these flavors of the instrument and not the classical guitar.
